Our frequently asked questions may have the answer for you, please have a look and read what we are often asked. If you can’t find the answer please don’t hesitate to give us a call or send an email.



Do you operate a waiting list?



Yes we do operate a waiting list. Especially as during the Coronavirus pandemic there was uncertainty about lockdowns, when self-catering can open etc, if the property and dates you require are not available we are more than happy to add you to a waiting list. Just let us have your email address, the property name and dates you are looking for and we will add you to a waiting list. If the property and dates then become available we will contact you to see if you are still interested in booking a stay. You can always book a year ahead if you would like to or take a look at alternative dates or properties.


Is there a Hair Dryer at the property?


Yes, all our properties have a Hair Dryer. This is normally located upstairs in a drawer in the master bedroom.


Is there an Iron and Ironing Board at the property?



Yes, all our properties have an Iron and Ironing Board.


Is there a Hoover at the property?



Yes, all our properties have a Hoover.


If I cannot visit due to Lockdown, Corona Virus or Government legislation what happens, will I get my money back?


If you cannot visit due to Coronavirus, Lockdowns or Government legislation which is no fault of your own, we will gladly refund you in full or reschedule your holiday, whichever you would prefer. If you have booked through an online travel agent (booking.com, Air BnB etc) you will need to cancel or move the booking with them and it is ultimately their decision but we will do all we can to help in such a scenario to get you a full refund. What precautions have you taken to protect your guests during the Coronavirus pandemic?



We have followed the government guidelines and also taken advice from both Visit Cornwall and PASC (The Professional Association of Self Caterers). This includes such things as undertaking a Risk Assessment, installing Hand Sanitisers both inside and outside at our premises. We have ensured our cleaners have undertaken Covid cleaning certificated training and introduced an enhanced cleaning regime. Our guests receive complimentary hand sanitiser bottles, anti-bacterial wipes and face masks. All linen is washed at a temperature in excess of 60 degrees. You can find more detailed documents about this on each property page which you are welcome to download and read.


What Time can I get into the property and what time must I leave by?



You can get into the property after 4pm on your day of arrival and we would ask you to leave by 10am on your day of departure please.


If the property has a hot tub is this for our sole use or is it shared with other properties?



Bodannon at Porthtowan as a Hot tub and this is solely for your use. It is not shared with any other households or visitors.


Can we use the Hot Tub 24Hrs a day?



The hot tub is on and running 24 hrs a day, however we would ask you to consider the neighbours and not use the Hot Tub later than 11pm at night and not before 8am in the morning.


Are dogs welcome at the properties?



Up to two well behaved Dogs are welcome at Meadow Rise (St Columb Major) and Bodannon (Porthtowan). We would ask that they do not go upstairs and if crate trained we will provide these. Dogs will also receive their own welcome pack and dog towels are also provided. Sorry there are No dogs allowed at Hengar Manor. To find out more information for dog owners please click here.


Is there parking at the Property?



Yes all our properties have partking.
Meadow Rise (St Columb Major) has parking for one car directly outside the property.
Bodannon (Porthtowan) the resort has a central carpark with allocated spaces for two cars, this is just a few meters away from the property and located in front of the outside showers.
100 Hengar Manor has parking for one vehicle next to the property, additional vehicles should be left in the main carpark.
91 Hengar Manor has an allocated parking space just in front of the property, additional vehicles should be left in the main carpark.


Do you have electric Vehicle charging points at the properties?


There is an electric vehicle charging point at Hengar Manor in the communal carpark for everyone to use. Unfortunately there is not one at the property for your sole use.
We are afraid at this time neither Bodannon or Meadow Rise have Electric Vehicle charging points.

How long or difficult is the walk to the beach at Porthtowan from Bodannon?



Bodannon is just 400m from the beach. There are two ways to walk to the beach; along the cliff top, the path is just outside the entrance to the resort. Alternatively the walk is down a hill on a single track road which you will have driven up when you arrived. Click here to watch a video showing the walk to the beach.


Are there Bar B Que facilities at the property?



Meadow Rise (St Columb Major) has a brick built Bar B Que in the back garden which you are welcome to use.
Bodannon has a small enclosed area at the rear of the property where you could use a disposable Bar B Que but one is not provided.


If I have booked number 100 or 91 Hengar Manor who am I best to contact if I have any questions?



Please contact the Cornish Holiday team whatever your question. The accommodation 100 and 91 Hengar Manor are owned and managed by Cornish Holiday and we will do everything we can to make sure this is clean, welcoming and has everything you will need for a very enjoyable stay. If you do have any questions about the park or its facilities please still contact the Cornish Holiday team and we will do all we can to get an answer and find out information for you, though please understand that Hengar Manor Park and its facilities are not managed by Cornish Holiday so we will need to contact them if we do not know the answer to your question.


Can we book both No 100 and No 91 properties at Hengar Manor together?



Yes, we would be delighted if you booked both properties together perhaps for a multigenerational break. They are very close together, if you look at our video library there is a short video showing walking between the two properties. If you book both together we would be happy to offer a discount.


Do you have a High Chair and Cot at the property?



Yes, all our properties have a travel cot and high chair for you to use. We would ask that you bring your own bedding please.
Is there room in the twin bedroom at 91 Hengar Manor to put the travel Cot up.
Yes there is room at 91 Hengar Manor to put the travel Cot up in the twin room. Its reasonably tight but you can open and close the door, alternatively there is plenty of room for it in the lounge just outside the master bedroom.


Do you accept and give a discount for Blue Light Card holders?



Yes, we are thrilled to be able to help the emergency services, NHS staff, carers and those that work so tirelessly to keep us all safe and well. We are very pleased to give a 10% discount. How can we arrange to Hire the Beach Box?



Beach Boxes are available at Meadow Rise (St Columb Major) and Bodannon (Porthtowan). Please contact the Cornish Holiday team and they will be pleased arrange this for you. There is an additional charge for hiring the Beach Box. Please contact the team on [email protected] or on 01264 335527


How do I receive the discount vouchers mentioned?



We have teamed up with a number of organisations who will offer you as our guests discounts. These will be included in the digital welcome guide that we will email / text to you prior to your stay.


Do you supply Gift Vouchers that I can give as a gift?



Yes, we certainly can supply Gift Vouchers. Please contact us and let us know the amount and if you would like the voucher emailed or posted and if it should be sent to you or the individual receiving the gift. When a booking is made this amount is then deducted from the amount owed.


Is Cornish Holiday an agency representing lots of owners?



No, Cornish Holiday is NOT an agency representing owners of other properties. The properties we let out are all owned and managed by us, so you can be sure they are all Visit England star rated, Covid secure and all to the same comfortable and welcoming standard.
