Christmas in Cornwall

Cornwall is magical at any time of year but in the run up to Christmas, over the festive season and New Year it takes on a whole new dimension.

You still have the wonderful sandy beaches and rugged cliffs bringing drama and intrigue but at this time you also have Christmas Markets, Fireworks, Roaring Open Fires, Carol Singers, Lantern and traditional Reindeer parades.

One thing is certain you are sure of a very warm welcome and a fantastic time.
Fireworks.

We can recommend spending time in the run up to Christmas in Cornwall and if you are around over New Year be sure to stand on a headland (safely of course) and watch the fabulous fireworks lighting up the sky over the rugged cliffs and sea. We feel sure there will be lots to choose from.

Christmas Tree and presents.

Why not visit such places as The Eden Project, the lantern trail at the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Padstow Christmas Festival or Bodmin Jail this Christmas. You could even take a ride on a Santa Train at the Bodmin and Wenford Railway; but please be aware that events may be subject to change, and it would be wise to check websites and with individual attractions, so you know exact dates and times along with any possible changes and the latest visitor information.

With any of the attractions it’s best to book tickets in advance.

We hope to welcome you in the quieter, enchanting winter months.
