Screech Owl Wildlife Park
The Screech Owl Wildlife Park provides care and rehabilitation for sick and injured wild owls in Cornwall. To ensure their safe release into the wild on recovery or, if permanently disabled, to provide a comfortable home in a suitable environment. They also Promote awareness of the conservation needs of owl species and their natural habitats by working with schools, youth organisations, groups and individuals of all ages. They like to enable visitors to see and touch owls at close proximity under staff supervision as well as providing a talk and guided tour of the centre to all visitors. They also provide information on the building and siting of owl nest boxes in suitable areas to enhance the wild population of owls, especially the declining barn owl. They undertake captive breeding programmes, which conserve for the future many owl species which may be declining in population, and which includes the re-introduction of birds into the wild.
St Marys Bike Hire – Isles of Scilly
When visiting the isles of Scilly why not discover hidden beaches and country lanes, take in awe inspiring views whilst building up an appetite for one of the many fabulous eateries or maybe a picnic on a secluded cliff top. The routes are beautifully cycle-friendly, and you can also take off-road bikes, well, off road to explore a little further. Trevilley Farm Shop
Trevilley is a working family farm with on-site farm shop. Producing their own Beef, lamb, vegetables and turkeys, geese and multi bird rolls for Christmas. They also have quail eggs from their own quails on the farm. In the shop, they make there our own jams, marmalades, chutneys and pickles, as well as a wide variety of produce made on a daily basis; bread, Cornish pasties (in some peoples’ opinions, the best you will ever have!), pies, quiches, sausage rolls, cake and much more! Aside from this, they sell produce from over 100 suppliers. Origin and quality are the keys to their sourcing policy. They aim to source primarily from the farm. Then wherever possible from Cornish producers. And then from other quality suppliers within the UK.
Trevibban Mill Vineyard
Nestled in the heart of the Cornish countryside, Trevibban Mill is a working vineyard with a spectacular wedding venue offering a stylish and contemporary space in a beautifully rural setting. Reen Manor Riding School
Based very near Perranporth, famous for its 3-mile-long Beach, there are a number of different types of rides including the most popular beautiful beach ride which is accessed along the extensive dunes above the beach and numerous safe bridleways.
There are over 20 horses at the stables which vary in size from quality horses and ponies to cobs, with a range that will suit from beginners to advanced riders. The inland rides will take you through the Cornish countryside along to a traditional thatched pub where you can stop off for a delicious pub lunch while the horses graze happily in a luscious paddock, or you could have just a pint and pasty if you wish.
For the younger ones there are designated children’s rides. All rides are accompanied by experienced riding personnel who are there to help you enjoy your riding adventure.
